Microsoft spreads through China
It’s true that humility leads to exaltation. Billionaire Microsoft mogul Bill Gates finally makes his present felt in China. After a decade long crusade and billions of dollars spent, Gate has accomplished the feat of getting the Chinese government to accept his infectious Microsoft Windows program as standard.
China’s market notorious for pirating programs never massively accepted Microsoft until recently. Gates fought many court battles against bootleggers, and even dropped his guards to allow the Chinese the rights to view fundamental source codes for Windows. This was done to dismissed rumors and suspicion from Chinese security that Microsoft was a tool of the US Government use to spy and retrieve information from foreign countries. Gates even authorized the selling of a special Windows and Office for student for as low as $3. Of course bootleg versions of Microsoft have been available for many years now. Yet, Chinese PC owner never quite adapted the system preferring Lunix instead.
Despite Gates new tolerates of pirating, and even bringing high class Chinese executives abroad the Microsoft team. The success of the Microsoft breakthrough is credited to the company willingness to collaborate with the Chinese governments’ agenda. Gates found that if he made Chinas’ government concerns his, they in return would do the same. Although the love affair has begun the effects won’t be evident in the company’s financial profit till several years from now. Microsoft plans to see an increase in PC sells this year in China but the revenue per computer is only a fraction of what’s made in developed countries.
All in all Gates prove why he’s the riches man in the world. Consistence, patience, and humility equal elevation. Now we know the formula, who’s next?
